Fiscal Federalism and Planning: Theory
and Practice
This course enables the students to:
A. Analyse and critically evaluate a broad set of issues in the relationship between different levels of government.
B. Demonstrate the understanding of the constitution of India related to Center-state financial relations and develops interest regarding policy on Multi-level governance and Institutional Reforms.
C. Interpret and appropriately apply the principle of equity and efficiency of fiscal transfers in various governments’ fiscal policies.
D. Expose the in and out of India’s Centre-state relations of the past and present time and develop skills on how to write a public policy paper and make a presentation on public policy issues.
E. Equip with a thorough analytical grasp of government taxes and acquire skills in GST which have high demand in trade and industry
