This course provides information on various data mining methodologies and techniques and is deeply related to scientific research areas. The content includes background of datamining, data warehouse schemes and operations on them, pre-processing techniques, Frequent patterns identification, information retrieval, classification, clustering, association mining, advanced techniques for classification etc.

The students will be able to acquire a very broad yet in-depth knowledge and practice of the principles of data mining and data mining techniques after studying this course. It will help to improve their knowledge and intelligence in decision making process and enable them to be capable of handling jobs in R & D divisions of any company as software engineer/scientist.
